What is Ghee Soap?
Ghee soap was first introduced in ancient India, where people used to bathe with milk, including butter, buttermilk, honey, and many other things. But at that time, it was used in liquid form.
With advanced knowledge and the appropriate implementation of scientific theories, the ghee soap was crafted in semi-solid form.
Ghee soap is a type of handcrafted soap that incorporates ghee, which is clarified butter commonly used in Indian cooking and traditional medicine.
What is Ghee?
Ghee is made by simmering butter to remove its water content and milk solids, leaving behind a golden, clarified fat.
Ghee is highly rich in vitamins A, D, E, K, fat, minerals, calcium, and many other things.
Ghee soap is made by incorporating ghee into the soap-making process, either by blending it with other fats and oils or using it as a primary ingredient.

Procedure Of Making Ghee Soap

Heat Water: Gently heat the distilled water until it’s slightly warm.
Add Lye: Slowly add the lye to the water, never the other way around, to avoid a dangerous reaction. Stir until the lye is fully dissolved.
Cool: Allow the lye solution to cool to around 100-110°F (38-43°C).
Melt Ghee: Heat the ghee until it’s melted and reaches the same temperature as the lye solution (100-110°F or 38-43°C).
Mix: Slowly pour the lye solution into the melted ghee while stirring gently.
Blend: Use a stick blender to mix the solution until it reaches “trace” – when it thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
Essential Oils: Add your chosen essential oils for fragrance and mix thoroughly.
Additives: Stir in any additional ingredients like herbs, exfoliants, or colorants.
Pour the soap mixture into your prepared mold. Smooth the top with a spatula if needed.
Insulate: Cover the mold with a towel or blanket to keep it warm and aid in saponification.
Wait: Let the soap sit in the mold for 24-48 hours until it hardens.
Unmold: Once hardened, remove the soap from the mold and cut it into bars if necessary.
